Our History
The History of Minuteman Aviation
Jerry Mamuzich, owner and president of Minuteman Aviation, Inc. started his career at the age of 12 when he worked as a flagman for his father John Mamuzich, owner of Pondera Flying Service in Conrad Montana.
At the age of 16 Mr. Mamuzich soloed, then received his license when he was 17. In 1963, Mr. Mamuzich started Minuteman Aviation with one Cessna 180. The business took on construction contracts involving the Minuteman Missile Project. This included the military management team SATAF; Boeing; Air Force; Army Corps of Engineers; and government as well as political representatives. Minuteman Aviation received its name as a result of the many flying contracts obtained for the Minuteman Missile Projects in Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado, and North and South Dakota during the 1960's.
In 1965, Mr. Mamuzich expanded his business when he started Minuteman Aerial Application. Located in Conrad, Montana, Minuteman Aerial Application is still a thriving business today. For over 40 years, the company has been responsible for successfully spraying thousands of acres of wheat and barley. In 1978 he extended Minuteman Aviation, Inc. to Missoula where the original Johnson Flying Service FBO had once been located. From there, he purchased this location from Evergreen Air International, which had procured Johnson Flying Service in 1974.
Minuteman Aviation has grown to be one of the largest full service FBO's in Montana. Today the company continues its quality service and takes on diverse contracts and projects. These include air support for U.S. Forest Service fire fighting; flying for the movie industry; flights for snow surveys; wildlife surveys; agricultural projects and mining exploration to name a few of these unique assignments.

From 152's to a Boeing Business Jet, our Exxon Premier Care certified line service team is ready to roll out the red carpet for you, 24 hours a day, weekends and holidays. Our correlation with brand names like Avitat, Exxon Mobil, and Aeroshell is our way of showing our customers we are committed to providing them the best in aircraft products and services.
Fueling Services
Minuteman maintains a fleet of seven refuelers capable of immediately providing up to 14,000 gallons of Jet A, or 4,000 gallons of AV100LL. An additional 60,000 gallons of fuel is stored in our modern and secure bulk fuel storage facility. Overwing and singlepoint pressure refueling is available, and Jet A with Prist® (FSII) is always available upon request. Need a quick turn? Not a problem. We know our customers are on a tight schedule. Our employees and equipment are always ready to accommodate the needs of our customers in a professional and timely manner. Volume discounts and contract fuel services are also available.
Aircraft Services
From rental cars to the current issue of The Wall Street Journal, Minuteman provides many services for customer satisfaction. These services include marshalling, parking and tie-down, aircraft de-icing, oxygen service, lavatory servicing, engine pre-heating, full aircraft detailing and cleaning, ground power units and air starts. Coffee and ice are also available as well as an exceptional catering service. Additionally, our secure 23,000 square foot heated hanger is capable of accommodating singles, twins, helicopters, or even a Canadair Regional Jet.
Ground Handling
Minuteman's staff can easily accommodate all ground handling requests. We are experienced in providing ground handling for university athletic charters, in addition to aircraft transporting of firefighters and military personnel engaged in wildfire suppression. Our equipment includes tugs, belt loaders and baggage carts. For additional expediency we have portable airstairs capable of servicing the DC-9/ MD80 series, most Boeing narrow body aircraft, and the Airbus A318, A319 and A320 series.

Maintenance
Minuteman Aviation provides top quality aircraft maintenance in a timely and professional manner.
Minuteman Aviation is an FAA certified repair station. The Maintenance Department offers an authorized Cessna Service Center as well as the only authorized Bell Helicopter Textron Customer Service facility in the state of Montana. At Minuteman's Maintenance Department you'll find competitive shop rates and outstanding performance from a team of certified mechanics. There is a complete parts sales department on sight with a large inventory for all of your repair needs. MAGNAFLUX testing equipment and service is also available on location for your convenience. The Maintenance Department of Minuteman Aviation is a recipient of the Diamond Award for actively participating in the FAA Aviation Technician Training Program.

Minuteman Aviation offers charter service for the busy traveler who wants to eliminate the chaotic atmosphere of terminals and airlines from their travel routines. Flights are available to most places nationwide at the convenience of the customer's schedule.
